Music Challenge Day 9- A song that you can dance to

Hey guys sorry that it's been like over a week since my last post but since I'm a student I kinda had to study and take some finals but yah know I'm back now to post and I'll keep posting all I can and yah know when I feel like it.

So.... Anywho I found it really hard to find a good song for this post which is funny because I am a dancer but also extremely sad as well. Then today I finally finished all of my exams so I went with my mother to see "Rock of Ages" which was interesting if you like rock music I would suggest going to see it purely for the music however there is the one boy band section that you'll have to plug your ears for I almost died at that point in the film...but other than that not a horrible movie admittedly I definitely wasn't great but it was an enyjoyable movie.

Anyways the point in telling you all of this was to let you know that I found a few songs in the movie that I wanted to start dancing to and by a few I mean 2.

So the first song that I chose is "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi...

I love that freaking guitar!!!!!!!!!!!It is so fucking cool. God I wish I could play the guitar.

So I thought this time I might actually tell you who the band members are and what they play If you don't know if you do know move along nothing to see here.

Bon Jovi is made up of lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi , guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, as well as current bassist Hugh McDonald.



The second song that I chose for this post is "Rock and Roll All Night" by KISS...

 I just adore their make-up it was so brilliantly done.

Music Challenge Day 8- A song that you know all the words to

Ok I have the perfect song for this post simply because I have spent the last few weeks playing this song repeately until I knew not just the lead vocal parts but alll of the background vocals as well. I don't know what it is about this song....maybe it's that....hmmm......I LOVE IT!!! The vocals for this song are completely amazing and I absolutely love the string base in the back ground it completely rocks my world!!!

Not to mention the re-freaking-diculous music video for this song...I could just watch it over and over and over and over and over and.....well you catch my drift. Ha, ha!! Well anyways I'll let you listen to the song now because I am just to excited for words!! This is "The Worm and The Bird" by The Used....

Music Challenge Day 7- A song that reminds you of a certain event

This song is a song that was played at every one of my school's dances... but then I got smart and started to hate the music evenone else listened to but that's not the only reason I stopped going to dances no... perhaps it was the incessant grinding of one people parts against anothers or maybe it was the people who constantly jumped through... no not danced... Jumped!!! There is also the very likely reason that I don't go now because I do not have a partner of the opposite sex to dance with when the slow songs come on...you know the only point at a school dance where people actually dance instead of jump...this was the point where I would stand at the edge of the room and look at the happy couples dancing on the floor and pretend to vomit. This was a very lonely moment for me but the pretend vomitting brought me a little enjoyment...


Well anyways at the dances this song was always played and I always liked it because this is the only song besides the slow dances that people would always dance too. This song is "Macarena" by Los del Río...

Hahaha just hearing the song reminds me of all of the people that can't dance at all and even fail at these very simple moves.

You know what for my own personal enjoyment I'll throw in some people actuall dancing the Macarena!!!

Yepp this is pretty much exactly how it went on at my school except you know it was indoors in the dark and there was still some people grinding each other....you'd think at very least the Macarena would turn them off.

Music Challenge Day 6- A song that reminds you of somewhere

I couldn't think of any songs that remind me of any specific place but I thought if I could find a song that has the title of city or something that could work well enough. So you know I checked through my iPod and finally I found this amazing song called "Dead in Hollywood" by the Murderdolls!!!!! Now usually I am not a big heavy metal fan. What I mean to say is that I prefer it as background vocals but this song is really awesome I really love how they incorporated all of the different horror movies and their characters!! It's totally amazing and really brings a sense of Hollywood so here it is "Dead in Hollywood" by the Murderdolls...

Now you see what I mean it is totally amazing and I love it!! I think that my favourite lyrics in the whole song are, "Hey Leather Face remove my.....FACE!!!" This however is probably because I just watched "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" with my friends Wes and KK and yes they are super cool too!!!!  Anyways it's a really good movie and it is based on a true story however only loosely because Ed Gein actually used a gun..... not a chainsaw.... but it is still a good movie that you should definitely watch but make sure to watch the original and not the remake the original is much better!!!

Music Challenge Day 5- A song that reminds you of someone

Ok people this one is kind of humerous so listen up...

In my last post I told you that Magick says hi and that she is one of the coolest people you will ever hear of. Which is totally true by the way but anyways this song is a song that reminds me of her but before I tell you the name of the song and put it up so that you may listen to it I thought that you should probably here a bit about Magick herself...So here you go...

Magick is this really awesome person who does dress goth and does let people say that she is a goth but we like to say that she's just Magick and not label what she is. So anyways even though people think she's scary and like worships satan and sh*t like that she is really a nice and caring person who is just one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I mean yes she is a pagan but that doesn't mean you have to go hating her!!! She's still a person and a totally amazing person at that!! Magick is also one of the most innocent people you will ever meet .... I mean she doesn't do drugs, she doesn't drink of smoke, she doesn't even J-walk it makes her feel guilty. Now here is where this song comes in and Magick loves singing... all the time she just breaks out into a random song and it's just plain cool!! Well this is a song that she likes to sing quite a bit and I like to think of it as her theme song. This is "Do You Believe In Magic" by John Sebastian!!!

Since this post is mostly about Magick I have decided to put on some picture of her favourite bands...no matter how much I don't like them!!!

Music Challenge Day 4- A song that makes you sad

Hey people Magick says hi by the way she is one of the coolest people you will ever hear of!!! By the way this is going to be a very depressing post so if you don't like depressing posts leave this site now but you better come back later for one of my happier posts....


So anyways I had a lot of trouble thinking of what to do for this post because when choosing a song that makes you sad there always has to be a reason and I know I don't like hearing about other peoples problems so I wasn't sure how emotional I should be with this post... but eventually I decided to go with the extremely emotional so here it goes...


This was a song that was played at my fathers funeral. For obvious reasons that I just told you it makes me sad. However it is a fairly nice song but it makes me cry almost every time I hear it but you know that's cool everyone needs a good cry every now and then!! Well here's the song that makes me sad I hope you enjoy/ it makes you cry just like me... "Angels Among Us" by Alabama!

Oh geez... I just watched the video and now I am crying!!! Oh well what can you do?? Well I hope that you enjoyed this post I think that I picked a pretty good song that makes me sad but yah know it's cool if you didn't like it.

Music Challenge Day 3- A song that makes you happy

Ok for this post I have to pick 2 songs because I cannot decide between the two they are both great songs. I don't know what it is about them but whenever I am feeling down or you know just plain sad then I will put on one or both of the songs and I instantly feel so much better. I don't guarantee this will work for anyone else but you know they work for me and that's always cool.... so here they are!!!

 So this first song is "A Portrait of the Artist" by Aiden which is ofcourse one of the coolest bands of all time.... in my opinion. I think that it's actually the music video that make me happy because it's so ridicuous with their animal masks on and shoving the vocalist into the trunk of the car!!! I just can't help but laugh every time. So that is probably what I like about this song but you know also the vocals which are ofcourse always amazing from Aiden.

This next song is "Inside This Coffin" by Calabrese now I don't know what it is about this song at all...I mean who would have thought a song called "Inside This Coffin" could instantly make me happier!! However, I do love this band they are completely awesome listen to some of their other songs on youtube believe me you won't regret it and if you do regret it well ummm sorry but I don't really care. Anyways try it if you like it you like it if you don't you don't!!

Music Challenge Day 2- Your Least Favourite Song

My least favourite song.....what?.... I don't listen to my least favourite songs... How am I supposed to pick a least favourite song when I don't actually listen to my favourite song. Well ya know I am not personally a big fan of pop like I can manage to listen to it but not without rolling my eyes.... Anyways back to my least favourite song I would have to say that it is probably this song that I first heard in my French class..... it is called "Ne me quitte pas" this song is written and sung by Jacques Brel... but don't take my word for it listen to it for yourself and make your own decision...Here it is "Ne me quitte pas" by Jacques Brel...

The title of this song translates to "Don't Leave Me" and I believe this is what I dislike about the song. If you breakup with someone sure you've got to give it your all to stay together but I don't like the idea of begging someone to stay with you. If you have to beg them to stay then they really don't want to be there in the first place and I do not think that you have to repeat it over and over again to get it across to them. Maybe find a different way to work things out rather than just begging them. And to perfectly honest begging annoys me to extreme levels.... so yeah no begging I don't like this song but if you do that's cool for you but maybe try some of the other artists shown in the pictures below....

Misfits is one of my favourite bands!!! Mostly because they are the origin of horror punk which is totally one of my favourite genres and Misfits is it's creator!!! In other words totally amazing.

Now admittedly I haven't listened to much of Shinedown but what I have heard of them I absolutely love! So you know check them out!!

and then I'll do one more here...

Ok so Linkin Park is a fairly well known band and I have never heard a bad comment about them from anyone before... so ... try it who knows you might end up liking it!

Music Challenge Day 1- Your Favourite Song

Hmmm... My favourite song changes quite often so its hard to say.... However, I think that at the moment it's the song Moment by Aiden, which is totally one of my favourite bands it a totally amazing song that everyone should listen too..... Wait I can put videos on this thing...... Well here it is the song Moment by Aiden!!!!!!

I just love the vocals in this song they are totally amazing!! It is so hard to find good music that is actually played by real musicians and has good vocals I'd say that it's almost impossible to find thiskind of music. Not to say that there is anything wrong with computerized music I just prefer when there is a live band. And if you liked the song you should check out some of their other music like A Portrait of the Artist, White Wedding, Die Romantic, Cry Little Sister... ect. Anyways I don't really have anything else to say so I guess I'll just post a few pictures of the band and be done!!
